Supporting the work of first responders throughout the Capital Region
BOTS can provide training led by field professionals to educate and support first responders in understanding neurodivergence and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. The training will focus on communication, crisis response, de-escalation strategies, and inclusive interactions to support first responders in the community.
BOTS’ trainings are led by Gwen Rudnick (Occupational Therapist) and Bennett Kelvin (School Psychologist)
We can also provide kits for in-the-field use including communication boards, weighted blankets, noise canceling headphones and other items. We can provide fidget bags and demonstrate how they are tools, not toys.
There is no cost for these local resources.
